Midpoint Reflection..

The internship has been different than my expectations because I thought it would be a gay environment but instead it is a silent environment. The work needs to get done quietly and on time.
Everything is different! In our school, teachers take us by the hand to achieve most of the assignment. The environment is fun, happy and sad at the same time and that's what make it its charm. The workplace environment is very quiet and serious.
New skills I've learned that I can apply at other jobs are I'm a better typist, a better listener and always on task. Those skills could help in the future depending on what kind of job I will be having.
With my mentor and the other co-workers I have a cool relationship, I'd say professional.
I think that I took conscience of other field of work and I know I would not do that kind of job because I like talking to people. But it's a really nice internship to experience new things.
I did not gain any communication skills. My English is still the same.

..Four weeks into internship

Bruce Silverstein is the full name of my internship.
My job title is assistant.
My company doesn't provide any kind of services that people could use as in a market or in an association. It just exposes different works like photography, paintings, etc.. If any buyers are interested in the work they are exposing, they will just receive them in the back room.
Three tasks that I regularly do at my internship site are editing the website, do the blurb and help take pictures of the works to upload them on the computer.
Three qualities that I have noticed about my mentor in the last four weeks are welcoming,
understanding and strict (in a good way). Welcoming because every time somebody comes in or goes out she say something and I find it really respectful and nice of her.
I didn't think that I will be able to meet the owner of the gallery and i did so many times. But my first time was at my interview and I was really proud and glad. I really enjoy the company of the people I work with.
The most challenging part of internship is to do all the work ask in a certain amount of time so you could start another one right behind it.
The name of the neighborhood my site is located in is The Village or West Manhattan.
Each day I leave school around 11:40 am.
It takes me about 40 min to get to my internship.
I arrive at home around 6:40 pm or earlier, it depends on what time Yvonne let me go.
I work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
The person who signs my time card is Yvonne.
